What to write about
- Guide requests — a project you're planning and can't find a good guide for.
- Calculator feedback — numbers that look wrong, features you'd find useful, or a calculator you'd like added.
- Corrections — if you spot an error in a guide, tell me. I'd rather fix it than have someone ruin a weekend project.
- Corrections on costs/prices — material prices change fast; if a guide is out of date, I'll update it.
Please don't send product pitches or sponsored-post offers. This site is ad-supported through Google AdSense, and I don't do paid placements.
Response time
I read everything and reply to most messages within 2-3 business days. If your project is urgent — say, a leaking pipe — please call a local professional rather than waiting on an email reply.
Adding a contact form in WordPress
If you'd like a contact form on this page instead of just an email link, it's a five-minute job:
- In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New.
- Search for "Contact Form 7" (free) or "WPForms Lite" (free), then click Install and Activate.
- Create your form and copy the shortcode it gives you (looks like
[contact-form-7 id="..."]). - Paste that shortcode into this page wherever you want the form to appear.
- Set the form's notification email to your real domain email so submissions land in your inbox.
